German industrial metal band Rammstein have confirmed that they will turn the Estonian capital into a fiery action in 2020. The concert will follow their performance in the Polish capital, and is also a continuation of a string of concerts in support of the new album from 2019 as part of their first-ever stadium tours. Formed in 1994, Rammstein boasts the recognition that their six-member lineup has remained unchanged. Including vocalist Till Lindemann, front guitarist Richard Kruspe, bassist Oliver “Olli” Riedel, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, keyboardist Christian “Flake” Lorenz and drummer Christoph Schneider, the band helped establish a subgenre in German hard rock and metal that later became known as Neue Deutsche Härte. Although most of their songs are in German, they have also sung in whole or in part in other languages, including English, Spanish, French and Russian. Ramstein has enjoyed explosive success, in addition to studio albums, have been certified platinum in Germany, indicating album sales of 200,000 or more there, and all have been certified at least platinum, indicating international sales of 1 million or more.
Crucial to the success of the Ramstein band, especially among non-German speakers, were the elaborate, theatrical, visually stunning and controversial live performances, which featured everything from pyrotechnics to simulated sex acts. The band has released a total of seven albums, with their last untitled album released in May 2019.
